Vent Camp 2012

We were looking forward to this trip months before we actually left for Lake Martin! We had such a great time last year, that we knew this year would be Great!! We made many new friends last year, but this year there were so many new families that we had never met!!
This is Baker on the back porch over looking Lake Martin. He had a good ole time riding around on his powered chair!! And I just love his smile!!

And of course lets not forget the pool!! One of Baker's favorite things to do is swim and the pool at the Children's harbor is SO nice cause we could just sit on the step and Baker can sit on our knees!! Here he is with his daddy!!!

Baker playing with his balloon animal... not sure what is was but he played with it till he had is about undone!! Ha!!

This year we were really excited to be able to take Nurse Christy and her daughter Savanna with us to camp. They didn't get to stay the whole time, but we enjoyed relaxing with them!!

And here we are... The Mitchell's!!

The theme this year was Super Hero's and Princess' so they let them make their own mask to wear for the parade Saturday!! Baker was working hard!!

 The Great BAKER MAN!!!

And here is one of the art projects that they did... Wrote with a crayon and painted with water colors over it... Baker didn't really cooperate, but this is what we got!!

And here is Baker and Savanna and Christy!

And here is the Lovely Miss Kayla... She was a new High School graduate!! Congrats Kayla!!

Baker chasing the kids around!! HA!! She was a good sport!!

My sweet little Boy!! God knows I love him So!!!

 Alex, me and Baker

Baker was really good at driving himself everywhere this year... It was really nice... but also scary. We would have to chase him down sometimes and pray that he didn't hit a tree or car!!

And of course we got to do Baker's favorite thing... Ride a Boat!!! He LOVES it!!!

And Derek loves it too!! (I Love to see this smile!!)

If you look closely... there is someone about to jump from the top!! Crazy Fool!!!

 This is Lindsay Grace's dad!!

Serious conversations... wouldn't you think?? :)

 Me and my super HERO!!!

 All ready for the parade!!!

And because Baker won't let us facepaint him... we painted his hand and he still tried to wipe it off!! Oh well!!

Baker and the Beautiful Cinderella... aka Lindsay Grace

Each year they let the kids decorate their chairs and roll in a parade... so this is the end of the parade and Baker has given up!! So I am driving him!!

The next few picture are the kids and people all dressed up!! I hope that you enjoy looking at all these wonderful people!!

I hope that you love reading about all the fun things that we get to do for and with Baker! He really is our little miracle and we are so blessed to be able to go and do with him!! Can't wait to see what the future has in store - School, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, Disney World, etc... just a few things that are coming up!! I can't wait to start working on his Make - a- Wish!!!

Baker's Birthday Bash

Well... this post is only a few months late... But here it is! Baker's 4th Birthday was a HUGE hit this year and one of my favorite parties that we have done!! Baker LOVES Toy Story and after Meredith's Miracles' Cookies with Characters event, I decided we would do Baker's birthday Buzz and Woody.

This is the picture that started it ALL!!! And we used it on his invitations!

And this is his FANTASTIC cake!!! And I LOVED everything about it!!! Tina's Little Cake Shop of Samson, AL made it and she will do all his cakes!! I couldn't have asked for a better cake! I had all the characters and stuck them on for the finishing touches!

And of course his Etch-A-Sketch... This was a cute idea that I found online and made for a Cute picture. Every year I make a photo book that has his birthday party in it and I love to make a page with all the guest pictures.

And this is his food table! I hope you can see it all. I made the pizza/ cookie Rocket. It was another idea I found online.  And I used the dump truck to hold the forks.

Another picture of the rocket!!

This was one of the outside games. Jessie and JW's Roping Round-up! That is my nephew with the rope and the dummy was his birthday present from me and my husband! He made it!

And one of the inside games... Bullseye's Target Practice. Another game we made. We actually used it last year at the carnival. But Baker LOVED this game and we use it at home sometimes now!

This is Baker looking and loving his cake!!

Just a few pictures of all the people!!! :)

Then the best part of the party showed up!!! Buzz and Woody! Meredith's Miracle is a group that has lots of characters and they rent them out (with person) for parties and such! They use the money to help families with children who have special needs and since they were too good to us when Baker was born, we try to give back to them ANY way we can!!

Then we played Pin the Nose on Mr. Potato Head!! Such a cute game!! And SO easy to make!!!

And for the favors, we let the kids help themselves... With THE CLAW!!! We used some kitchen tongs for them to grab the candy out! They loved it!!

Then of course gift time!!! This is one of the many bibs that my Aunt Mary Anne make for Baker. I really wanted a Cowboy one for him to wear to Rodeos!!! So he got one!!

And this is us and the Birthday Boy!!! We are so Blessed to be his parents and look forward to many MANY more milestones in his life!!!

Best Mother's Day

I think this year was the best Mother's Day cause I got to celebrate Baker's 4th Birthday! Not only with his party on Saturday, but All day Sunday!! Here are a few pictures from the Day!
This is me and the Birthday Boy! Love him to pieces!!!
Baker and his BEST friend, and cousin, JW
I really tried hard to get a decent picture of my Grandmother Meadows and Baker. She is so very precious to me! Even though it isnt the best picture, I sure do cherish it!!

I am so thankful for role models like my Grandmother's that taught me the meaning of "Mom."

I hope you and your family had a VERY Happy Mother's Day celebrating/remembering the Mom's in your life!!
