Pumpkin Patch Trip

This was something that Baker was looking forward to for weeks!!! And to be honest... so was I! We had talked about going and picking a pumpkin and sunflower and all the animals he would get to see. So he was pretty excited! Mainly for the animals, but also because he knew his class would be there!

Since I didn't want the school to have to take the bus with the wheelchair lift, I offered to follow the bus and drive Baker myself. This allowed him to play his ipad on the way and allowed him and Christy (his nurse) to ride with me and not the bus!

I wish I had a close up of his shirt that was made in class but maybe you can see in some of the pictures! Enjoy!!

The first is the spider that Baker kept driving to! He LOVED it!! If you look, notice his hands doing the Itsy Bitsy Spider song!! HA!!

And Baker with his whole Class!!! Minus the ones that were sick! :(

Finally it was time to load up on the wagon to go pick pumpkins... It was easier for us to pick him up and his vent than pick him and his wheelchair up! As you can tell, Baker was having fun on the ride!!

We tried to get a good picture of me and Baker. I wanted to print it out and give it to Derek for an early birthday present, but Baker didn't really cooperate! So this is the best I could get!!

Once we got a pumpkin and sunflower, we loaded back up on the wagon to go back to the farm. It was time for the animals and Baker couldn't wait!! Here he is with the animals!!

I think this is TOO cute!!!

After the animals they went to the barn to pick eggs and pick apples! Oh and Milk Cows!!

We had to maneuver his chair around to let him milk the cow... He really wanted to try! ;)

Then lastly, we went through the corn maze... We didn't go all the way through it because it was a bumpy ride, but he had fun anyways!

Baker and his buddy Eli!

Then they took a class photo, I couldn't get them all in it so I just went for Baker and his teacher! We love her!!

And a few more shots infront of the big scarecrow... thing! HA!

My Kindergartener!!!

Who is a proud mom??? I am!!! This is my little man on his first day of kindergarten!! It was a challenge to get him back in there, but that isn't something that I want to discuss... Point is, he is in school and loving it!!! And this mommy (and daddy) know that he is being cared for by his nurse.

This was the gift that I made for Baker's teacher... It says "Looking forward to a Bright Year!" And it is filled with lots of bright makers, pens, notebooks, sticky notes, etc...

On the night before school, we got Baker a gift. Couldn't help it, but this was such a milestone for us!! So he got a George monkey and book!! (Notice he still has his trophy from vent camp! He loves that thing!! )
So of course, Mommy read it to him before going to bed!

Then I made sure that his bags (and I mean bagS) were packed. Yes, Baker is into superheros!!! Can't you tell??
And of course... This is one proud Daddy!!! Baker wasn't feeling it because it was before 7 in the morning. But he is getting used to it!!

Baker and his sweet teacher! So happy that he was put in her room.
And one last one... Baker doing his work! I am so proud of him! More proud than I have ever been of him! We have had many touch and go moments in his short 5 years, but I am so blessed to get to celebrate this milestone!!

Picture OVERLOAD!!!

Since I am not sure the easiest way to upload pictures from my phone to the blog page, I decided that I would upload them to my computer last night and that way I could upload them from to my page. Please understand that some may be older pictures, but I think that it is too good not to post!

These pictures are of my superhero Baker at Vent Camp last summer. We are looking forward to being at Lake Martin this next week for a few days of fun and time with other families!!

One of Baker's highlights is riding the boats... I always am a little uneasy about it, but I know that God is going to take care of us!

The Children's Harbor added a game room last year and Baker had fun learning Ping Pong!!

This was him in the wildflowers on the way to our cabin!

This was Father's Day 2012... After Church!

Daddy and one of his gifts...

And of course I snuck a picture in with him too!!

This picture just cracks me up... Baker decides now that his head gets a little to heavy and will prop it on his hands!!

This was last summer in the pool... as you can tell... Baker loves to swim!!!

Baker and me babysat for my friend on day last summer and this cutie loves her some Bakerman!!! She was in the middle of giving me the look, "You better not mess with my Bakerman!" BTW... Happy Birthday to Aya!!! We love you very much!

Couldn't resist this hunk of mine!! (He would kill me if he knew I posted this!)

I am not sure where we were going since he has on a wife beater shirt... maybe a swim party?? But he looks pretty darn cute!! Just chilling in the van...

We are looking forward to some Bobcat Football this year! Baker loves his spot on the track... I am not able to be my social self down there, but Baker gets to ride around and watch the bands!! We just have to watch for field goals...

And of course, Baker's first day of preschool picture... I can't believe that he is fixing to start Kindergarten... Makes this mommy sad but also fills my heart with joy. I feel so blessed that God has given us another milestone!!!

Me and my grandmother at our Church's Ladies Tea! I love this lady... she raised me while my parents were at work and taught me so much about being a mother and grandmother, and just life in general!! I wished I had paid more attention to her making biscuits and her red velvet cake...  This lady knows her way around a kitchen!!!

This was my Aunt Frances' hat that she wore as a young lady... I felt honored to wear it that night!

And of course our disney trip was around the corner... Mrs. Margaret and Mr. Trippy went to Disney and brought us back some Mickey Ears...

They even put his name on it!!!

Just a picture that I love of my two boys!!

And me!!

This was halloween... and I have to say that my husband is the BOMB.COM!!! I should have posted a picture from the side... but this is Baker's ride for the night!!

I wanted this to be our Christmas card... But decided not at the last minute... still it is very much how we felt after trying to get Baker to take 1... just one picture...

But I did get a good picture with my handsome hubby!

Well this is Baker all loaded and the care loaded to the MAX on the way to Disney World... Baker loved the rental car cause of the DVD player!!

We went through tons of rain, and thankfully it knocked them out!!!

But he was getting supper tired of being in the car seat... can you tell by the blank stare??

This was the night that we got there... we missed the Christmas party, but we enjoyed the lights!!

Baker's first reaction to seeing everything at Disney World!!! To me this picture is PRICELESS!!! Notice how cold it was... we all had on coats and hats... It was freezing!!

This is Baker getting ready for playing ball with the miracle league... he wanted a glove! HA

Or a bat...

Tanner loves driving Baker around in his chair. This two could be trouble at school next year!!

This must have been the meet and greet cause he isn't in his uniform!

Movie night with Daddy...

Kissing cousins... I told you Aya loves her Bakerman!

She is a mess!!! But Baker loved her sitting with him!

And just a random shot of us being silly... He likes to take tongue pictures but I guess I didn't load one of those!

Hope you enjoyed some pictures... I will post more after our vent camp next week!!
